StarTech USB4 Universal Dock Dual 4K 144Hz 8K 60Hz DisplayPort 100W Passtrough
Condition: New
The StarTech USB4 Universal Dock is a high‑performance docking station designed to turn a single USB4 or Thunderbolt 4‑capable laptop into a fully fledged desktop workstation.
It supports high‑refresh external displays — up to 8K at 60Hz for a single display or dual 4K displays at high refresh rates — while also delivering up to 100W USB Power Delivery passthrough to charge a compatible host.
This makes it well suited for graphics‑heavy tasks such as photo and video editing, hi‑refresh gaming on a portable PC, or multi‑window productivity for traders, developers and power users.
Connectivity is comprehensive for a device of this class.
The dock exposes multiple DisplayPort outputs for high‑resolution monitors, host USB4/Thunderbolt compatibility for maximum bandwidth, USB Type‑A and Type‑C ports for peripherals and external storage, and a wired Ethernet interface for stable network connections.
With the USB4/Thunderbolt 4 host link you can expect significantly greater display and peripheral bandwidth than older USB‑C docks, which benefits streaming, large file transfers and connecting modern external GPUs or fast NVMe enclosures.
Key specifications to note: USB4/Thunderbolt 4 host compatibility, dual DisplayPort outputs supporting up to dual 4K (high refresh) or a single 8K@60Hz display, and 100W power delivery to the host.
These capabilities rely on a host that supports USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 with DisplayPort Alt Mode and sufficient power negotiation; performance and supported display configurations will vary with individual laptop implementations.
The dock also supports standard peripheral functions — USB data, audio and Ethernet — over the single upstream connection, consolidating cables on a desk.
The dock is built with a compact, desk‑friendly chassis and robust connectivity on the rear and sides for tidy cable management.
StarTech’s products are aimed at professional environments, so you’ll find solid connectors and a finish intended for regular use in an office or home studio.
Compatibility extends across many modern Windows and macOS hosts that implement USB4/Thunderbolt4 standards; older USB‑C hosts without USB4 will not provide the same display or bandwidth performance.
Key Features:
